To the best of our abilities, we send out your in-stock order within one business day. If one or more of the items you ordered is out-of-stock, but expected to be received within 4-7 days, your order will be held, so that all your items can be shipped together. If this delay would cause a problem for you, just let us know, and we can ship the rest of your order ahead.
If an item will be out-of-stock for longer than that, we will ship the rest of the order ahead and back-order that item(s)
As soon as your back-ordered item is in stock, it will be shipped out to you, using the same shipping method you chose for your order - at no further cost. You will be emailed when your back-order has been shipped.

Saving Costs on Shipping
We are doing our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible for you. We charge only the actual cost to ship - whatever the Canadian Post Office charges us. However, this means that it goes without any insurance or Signature Required, so should the parcel go missing, your order will not be replaced.
For large Canadian orders, we only charge a flat shipping cost of $6.95 - no matter how much you buy!
Further, we ship most small orders in light-weight Tyvek polyethylene envelopes. They not only resist tears, punctures and water - but they are so lightweight that they add very little (20-60 grams) to the total weight of your order.
With the new Minimum Weight Density (height x width x length = cost) rule that was put into effect by Canada Post on October 1, 2000, we are making every effort to place your order in the smallest box possible, to minimize your shipping costs. A tight fit means lower costs!
We would love to wrap your order up in tissue paper, tie it up in pretty ribbons, place it in a lovely gift box and enclose it in a sturdy box filled with stuffing. But most of our orders are just fabric, which needs no more protection than what a Tyvek envelope offers. So why make our customers pay high shipping costs for extra packaging?

When Will Your Order Arrive?
All Canadian orders are shipping by First Class or Expedited mail, unless otherwise specified, depending on the size of the parcel. You can expect to receive your order within 3-7 days. XpressPost within Canada orders will arrive within 2-4 days.
U.S. orders shipped by Airmail generally arrive within 7-10 days. Some customers have received their orders in as little as 3 days, however we cannot guarantee this with the Post Office.
US orders shipped by Surface mail generally take about 2-4 weeks for delivery. Some customers have received their orders in as little as 10 days, but again, we cannot guarantee this.
Xpresspost to the US orders will arrive in 2-5 days.
Overseas orders by Airmail generally arrive within 6-10 business days. Surface orders take approximately 4-5 weeks for delivery.

When Available vs. Shipping Entire Order
While we do our best to keep everything in stock, there can often be a delay in getting more product from a manufacturer or a huge order could have come in just before yours. Most of our customers prefer to receive at least a part of their order, rather than waiting. There is no further charge for shipping out back-orders and, if you have provided us with your email address, you will be notified when your back-order is shipped.

Tracking Your Package
All orders are shipped out with insurance and our
Canadian Postal tracking system. However, US and overseas postal systems do not honour our tracking system, so we are only able to track your order to the Canadian border, except for XpressPost to USA.
Therefore, we do not give out the tracking number as a general practice, but do keep it on file should you find you need it. Just ask!
For our Canadian customers, we are happy to call up the Post Office to trace your parcel, should it not show up in a timely manner. Often it is just sitting at the Post Office, waiting for pick-up, even if you never received a card to let you know.
