PAST REVIEWS:

I am 35 weeks pregnant with twins. I decided to use cloth since the money spent for disposables for 2 babies would be a tremendous expense. I talked my mom into making the the Better Baby Diaper from the Elizabeth Lee Designs Pattern. Her Homemaker Club volunteered and they pitched in to help her make them. So far, I have 4 dozen diapers and 4 more dozen on the way.
I don't have a clue yet as to how well they work, but everyone that has seen them feels they will work fine. We did opt to leave the Velcro® off, because the Homemakers thought it could irritate the babies skin if it rubbed against them and I have also heard that the Velcro® wearing out after so many washings was the biggest problem of cloth diapers. So when they suggested pinning might be better, I readily agreed that I was willing to go that route.
I have a niece that is just over 2 years old and still in diapers, my mom is not convinced that it would work for her. She is average size for her age, so all I can do is hope my babies use smaller diapers throughout, that they potty train earlier than my niece (who seems to be moving slower with some things due to a 7 month old sister) or my mom is just wrong in comparing the sizes.
We did choose flannel with baby patterns which makes the diapers soooooo cute, but of course will be covered most of the time. So far they are a big hit -- now to get my opinion after the babies arrival!!!!
