I love my ME POPS and AIOs, however my favorite AIO is Bumpkins. I like the way it fits much better. I have had no leaks with these or with my Bummi Super Whisper wraps. These are great and durable covers. -- Becci Dougherty (Feb 20/00)
I am not pleased with Bumkins All in Ones. The flannel inside dries stiff and never smells fresh, no matter how often I rinse with vinegar or hang in the sun. After only 4 months of use they have lost their absorbency and wick moisture so if my daughter pees once or twice I need to change all of her clothes. Since they were OK for the first month or two, I'd put them in the category of "semi-disposable" diapers; i.e. They last for 3 or 4 months. -- Amy (Jan 30/00)
I ordered Bumkins All in Ones and so far I LOVE them! They have only leaked a few times but anything would have with newborn poop! My daughter still has not soaked through at night! The only drawback is they take a long time to dry in the dryer. -- Hope (Nov 20/99)
I have a Bumkins I use when I need a trim AIO that works great (even at night time with a doubler and fleece liner). Aileen P. (Nov 16/99)
My favorite dipes are Bumkins AIOs, Baby Moons, and Sandys. I also like wool Bumpys and Happy Pants. These are pricey products, but well worth the investment for easy cloth diapering. DH is so better about diapering since we switched from prefolds to fitted dipes. -- Heather Perry (Nov 6/99)
I absolutely loved Bumkins All-in-ones when I first bought them. But now, nine months into the same size, they are *all* starting to fail. And they aren't really leaking, out the side like ill-fitting diapers, but that they are *failing*, with fluid coming out the whole nylon cover. I know that this isn't because I've washed them with bleach, because I don't even have any in the house! So, I spent $600 on what have now effectively become disposables.... -- Kat LaPorte (Oct 18/99)
I hated the Bumkins vented cover, the Velcro® irritated his skin something terrible (I'm beginning to hate Velcro® period). I don't care for any of the Bumkins products at all. The AIO leaked something terrible at night, even with a doubler. -- Shannon Poston (Sept 30/99)
We are rather displeased with all of the AIO's we tried. Leaking problems to greater or lesser degree with Kushies Ultra, Kushies Classic, Mother-Ease AIO, and Bumkins in that order from most problematic to least problematic. Waterproof covers aren't really that difficult to deal with. The convenience of AIO's don't warrant the expense in light of the leaking. -- DiaperDad (Sept 23/99)
I have not had good experiences with Bumkins All-In-One's with my 2 year old, nor my 7 month old. They have been leaky, even soaking my daughter's clothing, and they wear very poorly. Not at all worth the expense, in my opinion. -- Ingrid Green
Bumkin AIO: Did not like, plastic feeling, large for small baby. -- Deborah Grace
Covers I Love: Prowraps, Bumpkins, ME Airflows.
Also the fit (of Kushies) is not as good as Bumkins diapers... Bumkins diapers are very good, and well worth the money. -- Mary Russell
Bumkins diaper is very expensive but it really leaks. -- Omega Schroeder
Bumkins all in one diapers are very absorbent, easy to care for, and fit my son well. They are a bit expensive but worth it. -- Mary Russell
Ultra Kushies are absorbent but do not fit my son nearly as well as Bumkins. However, they cost less than Bumkins. -- Mary Russell
Bumkins AIO are great for trips out and overnight. Very expensive but worth the cost to buy a couple. They wash very nicely. I don't like Kushies AIO diapers. They are not as absorbent as the Bumkins and the Velcro® isn't as strong. -- Cindy in PA (Aug 28/99)
Bumkins AIO -- An EXCELLENT diaper!! I love them, my husband loves them, my mom loves them ... and Sinead loves them!! Diaper changes are a breeze. They fit well, are INCREDIBLY absorbent (I use a doubler) and wash beautifully. Well worth the money. I wish I had found them when Sinead was first born. -- Sineads mama (Aug 25/99)
I wanted to start out with something as close to disposables as possible, so I tried the Bumkins AIO and the Kushies Ultra. Both worked well, but I liked the fit of the Bumkins *much* better. I couldn't seem to get a good fit with the Kushies, but have never had any leaks with it. They are both well-made diapers. -- Larissa (Aug 25/99)
I am currently using and in love with the Motherease one size and Air-Flow covers. Also use Aristocrat wool soaker, and Alexis cover. I didn't like the Bumkins AIO, All Together Diaper AIO, Nikky covers. Buying upscale cloth diapers can seem like a big expense, But it is worth it! I love passing up the diaper aisle in the store! -- Sheila Bailey (Sept 9/99)
Bumkins all-in-one diapers are great. We've been using them for a month now and haven't had a single leak! -- Elizabeth Bryant (Aug 11/99)
I love my Bumkins AIO, but they are prohibitively (is that a word?) expensive! If they were cheaper, I'd have a ton of them. I also like their vented wraps with prefolds for my newborn! Cute prints, too. -- mitchsmom (Jul 22/99)
I have found that all-in-one diapers are the easiest to use. However, I would not waste my money on Bumkin all-in-one diapers. Bumkins are the most expensive diapers that I have used, and after just a few months of use they leaked through. I bought Kushies Ultras AIOs at about the same time; they still look and work great after a year and a half of use. I find that the Re-uz'm all-in-ones are also great diapers. Also, the Velcro® on Bumkins AIOs collects a lot of lint and the strip gets fuzzy very quickly. Where the Velcro® tabs are located, the material has a tendency to tear away from the diaper too. I like the design and the assorted prints of Bumkin AIO diapers, but they are not--in my opinion well made. -- Anne Lee
