Did not like the Wabby diaper cover.. It kept curling up and the Velcro® would then scratch the baby up... -- Kris (Oct 13/99)

Will report back later once I have tried them all, but I have ordered and/or plan to order and try the following diaper wraps: Nikky wool, Imse Vimse wool and night cotton, Polar Babies, and Wabby cotton. They are all comparable or lower priced than the Biobottoms covers I was seeking to replace for my toddler and soon-to-be newborn which is pricey to begin with, but I believe perform better than some of the other wraps and are therefore worth the investment. They last longer and can be used for subsequent children or loaned out. My experience so far has been very positive with the small, family run companies who sell diaper products. It is a great network of folks who are very responsive to e-mail questions, helpful, prompt, can give honest assessments based on their own experience (i.e. they actually have a toddler!) and carry quality products. -- Jamie Pehanick (Aug 29/99)

The Wabby's are great. I have tried them all (Biobottoms, Nikkys, Natural Baby Co., you name it.) I just keep coming back to the Wabby for the best containment and breathability. Also the company is really easy to deal with and the products arrive very quickly. -- Kristine Emerson (Jul 31/99)

OK, I like the Wabby but only because I don't mind changing baby's diaper REALLY often. It gets damp FAST. Faster than anything else. The reason I like it is because it is breathable AND cool. I feel better putting her in this than I would wool or fleece during those hot summer months. In terms of breatheability and keeping baby's clothes dry, it's just one step away from no cover at all (which I do sometimes, but many times I prefer having SOMETHING there.) I don't use the Wabby for outings, or if the nice lady across the hall is going to be holding baby.
The design could stand alot of improvement. The Velcro® band (the soft "loop" part) tends to roll up onto her tummy, but it has never irritated her skin. It doesn't give a very snug fit, so a folded diaper tends to shift. On the other hand, the roomy fit is good for those fitted diapers that are all the rage these days. I've never had a messy leak onto her clothes with the Wabby. Very durable Aplix® closures and easy to launder, with no delicate coatings to worry about. -- Jennifer Brooks Pajevic (Jul 20/99)

I tried a Wabby and was very disappointed with its performance. The leg bindings wicked to the cotton covering, and my baby was soaked. Great concept, poor execution. I hope they change the bindings- maybe I'll try it again. -- Tammy Collins-Prasol
