Gerber EZ-Cover Reviews
ADD A NEW REVIEW:
This wrap does not fit my daughter at all! She gets plumber's butt in the back (you can see her anal cleft) and she gets red marks on her legs everytime she wears them. They are too tight around her little thighs. Yet too short in the back. Just terrible! -- Eve (December 27, 2002)
The Gerber covers are cheap, but the laminate seems to bubble after a month and wetness leaks out. I air dry them even. We still use them but change the diaper more often to keep baby's clothes dry. They're cheap enough to replace considering I found Polar Babies to be no better at keeping clothes dry. And they are not cheap. -- Joni (June 12/00)
I also tried Gerber's Velcro® wrap I hated it, I had to change dd after 10 min! Alexis pants last thru the night. -- Pamela Tolkkinen (Mar 20/00)
The best thing about the Gerber EZ cover is the little tabs on the back part of the cover. You can use these tabs to secure the Velcro® while you are changing your baby's diaper so that it won't scratch her tummy! This is the only cover I have seen with this feature! It is also great for washing as you can keep the cover more open and yet still secure the Velcro®. Also, at least these covers are more economical (unlike many out there) so that if something does go wrong with the cover, at least you can afford to buy a couple of new ones. -- anonymous (Feb 9/00)
I have also bought some Gerber EZ Covers, not as good, they gap around her waist and not as good of fit on my Emma. However, the Velcro® kicks butt on this cover and hold up great. -- Amy Weinheimer (Dec 11/99)
Gerber Velcro® diaper covers - These have worked pretty well, but I am looking for something that will last a bit longer. If one of these gets into a load with a softener, it leaks right away, the others start to leak liquid around the legs after a while. They are the cheapest and best I have found so far. (JCPenney has them on sale often) -- Marti Strehlow (Nov 7/99)
Gerber EZ Wraps -- I'm using these and they seem to be pretty good -- not too expensive but have leg gussets and fairly soft Velcro®. -- Grace Gooding (Oct 12/99)
I have had no luck with Gerber wraps. I found them clumsy. The Velcro® was too wide and came apart very easily. The covers leaked through the top around the back waistband and always got my baby's clothes wet. -- Diana (Jul 23/99)
My son is 9 months old and we've tried many different covers that we mainly found at thrift stores. This is what I have found so far. Ecology Kids are my least favorite. They leaked easily and if I tightened the top enough to stay on my son's waist, the leg holes were too big. The Gerber cover, in my opinion, had sturdy Velcro® but leaks easily and is bulky. Dappi covers work only for a short time. I wash them very carefully but the fasteners wear out within a few washes and scratch my baby's legs. The cloth on the outside doesn't protect his clothing at all. We have one Prowrap with the Velcro® and it was the only one I was satisfied with, but now he likes to take his diaper off himself so we are looking for alternatives. -- Shannon Harker (Jul 15/99)
Dislikes - Dappy Velcro®, Gerber Velcro®, Nikky Cotton, Aristocrats (Cheaper NZ Soaker better, IMO) and Diaperwraps... ick -- Jennifer Olson
I don't care for Gerber EZ or Dappi covers but I stand firm that Proraps are the best available. -- Linda Thomas
These are readily available and not too expensive. The Velcro® adheres well and they are durable, but the sizes tend to run small. -- Mary Russell
I use Gerber covers and love them. The Velcro® stays put and I like the little tabs on the inside that you can stick them to for washing. -- Jessie Davenport
My second favorite is the Gerber E Wrap, but the stitching on the Velcro® is not the best...But I love them anyway. -- Keppy Boone
Gerber EZ Covers have strong Velcro® and are durable. They also cost less than most covers. -- Mary Russell
I have used the Gerber EZ Covers and they are pretty good for the money. They dry in a flash. I have found that the the leg bindings will wick urine if the diaper gets really soaked, though. -- Serena Johnson
I've used Gerber diapers from Wal-Mart (not worth buying), prefolds from K-Mart (worse than Wal-mart's), Gerber AIO (leaks terribly), Gerber covers (Velcro® is great!!!!) I got mine used and they are still going strong. -- Victoria Gabhart (Jul 7/99)
