Super Industrial Wrap Diaper Reviews
ADD A NEW REVIEW:
I love this wrap. Very tough and able to withstand the soakings and washings. We never use bleach or dry in the dryer, and the Velcro® is just fine. Just attach the Velcro® before washing it. -- j.v.c. (June 18/01)
I love my ME POPS and AIOs, however my favorite AIO is Bumpkins. I like the way it fits much better. I have had no leaks with these or with my Bummi Super Whisper wraps. These are great and durable covers.
I like the Bummis Cotton wraps and they fit great... I love the Industrial Whisper wraps with the pigs on them, as well.
I got Bummis SWW's and love their quality.
Bummis Industrial Wrap - I just wanted to update my glowing report on this cover. After using it for a few months, I've decided I DO NOT Like it. It cannot be properly adjusted to fit. Even with careful washing and nothing but air drying, it lost it's waterproof ability. It's Velcro® also wouldn't stick and scratched little tummies. It may be more convenient in the beginning, but it's just not a good investment. I was new to cloth diapering and wanted the convenience of Velcro®. Though I quickly realized I much preferred snap on or pull ons. Even inexpensive Dappi pull on covers work better than this. I much prefer Alexis pull or snap ons, Mother Ease Air Flow snaps and Bummi Whisper Pant Pull Ons. Save your money and get DSQ prefolds and pull on covers. In the long run, you'll be much more satisfied and less frustrated.
I tried the Bummis Super Whisper Wrap on my baby when he was about 8 weeks old. I waited
until his cord fell off (at 7 weeks!) because the cover pant rubbed it. I thought the covers were really nice, but I did have some problems with leakage. I was putting the cover on over an un-pinned prefold. My son sleeps on his tummy, so the prefold would bunch up when he slept, causing leaks. Being a new mom, it never occurred to me to just pin the prefold (one of the reasons I bought the cover was because you didn't have to), and now he has outgrown them. I think I might try them again because they are so nice, but just stick to pinning the prefold underneath.
The Bummis Whisper Wrap sounded great but was too good to be true! It runs big (the medium fits my 30lb toddler), the Velcro® rubs tummies (the toddler refuses to wear them and the baby didn't know any better) so I removed it and put my own snaps on, and it wicks wetness quickly, esp. around the waist-band. I also didn't care for the built-in leg gusset - with a thick prefold the legs wouldn't fit snug enough to hold breast milk poop. The search continues - think I'll scrounge up the
dough to try the Polar Babies.
Bummis Industrial wraps are great. They dry fast and can fit a wide range, so you buy less covers.
I have used the Bummi Super Whisper wrap and the Proraps diaper covers. At first I preferred the Bummi Super Whisper wrap as it was easier to put on and softer than the Prorap. However the Bummi leaks right through the wrap if it's a very wet diaper, and the Velcro® has worn out after a few months of washings. While the Prorap is very waterproof and durable, I've found that it stains easily, and the low cut front leaves the cloth diaper sticking out, unless I fold it in carefully.
Bummi's Super Whisper Industrial Wrap. This cover has a nice feel and great fit - highly adjustable. I will get a lot of mileage from this cover!
I have had very good luck with the Bummi Super Whisper Wrap (Industrial Wrap) with my 7 month old daughter, but
not my 2 year old. The velcro is very strong, and doesn't scratch, and provides and excellent fit for a range of sizes. I find they tend to wick, though, if worn too long, like overnight.
Bummis Super Whisper Wraps were gr8 except the edges are very str8, so when our babe was in our family bed
and not wearing a onesie, Mama and Dada kept ending up with scratched num-nums! Yes, that's baby talk for you. :) Otherwise, the Velcro® was nice, it worked very well, looked comfortable on my daughter, and was easy to care for. It also didn't come in many sizes so I didn't have to spend much money.
I also like the Bummis Industrial cover. It gets a really nice fit to hold the diaper in place and I like the way the Velcro® folds back on itself for washing. If you let the diaper get really saturated, though then this cover will wick urine, so you have to be careful. -- Serena Johnson
The Bummis Industrials don't work very well for us with Motherease diapers, they tend to wick moisture to the outside, and our little girl ends up with wet clothes. -- Chauna Plank
I switched to Bummis Industrial Wraps. I really like these because they stay closed and contain all waste. However, they leak if the diaper gets really wet and they are very hot. The polyester material they are made of does not allow air in and out. That is not good in Texas! So far, I am extremely pleased with the Polar Babies cover. The Velcro® fastener did not scratch his tummy like the Industrial Wrap. -- Carrie Wehmeyer
I LOVE my Bummi Whisper Wraps. Although I have only tried one other brand, these wraps fit perfect and wash wonderful!! -- Jennifer Lutke
Having tried several different wraps, my favorite is the Bummis Industrial Wrap. I always get a great fit and I've never had a leak. -- Linda Peirce
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bummis Industrial Whisper Wrap Cover!! -- Keppy Boone
I use Cot'nwraps from Ecobaby and Bummis Industrial Whisper Wrap. The Bummis original are very waterproof, but their Velcro® seems to weaken, and I don't really like the nylony feel. -- Allison J. Troutman
I also like Bummi covers. The Industrial version is better than the original version which tends to lose its waterproofing after many washings. -- Mary Russell
Bummis covers fit extremely well, very durable and reasonable price. Only complaint...require more breathability for my child who is very prone to diaper rash. -- Laura Fletcher
But I do like their polyester, Velcro® Bummis for night-time. I use two Rainbow diapers from Natural Baby inside one wrap. They don't have to be folded down in front. Their diaper and wrap sizes are way off for my child. She is 27 months and weighs 30 pounds and is in the 15-30 pound wrap and we used the 'tightest' Velcro® setting. I imagine she will be in them until potty training.
