How Many Cloth Diapers? That will depend on how often you want to (or are able to) do wash!

NOTE: Before calculating cost and numbers you need to buy, be aware that most parents do not buy diapers all at once, but as their baby grows.

There are three systems to choose from:
(Note that some sizes may not be needed, depending on baby's growth.)
1. Exclusive All-in-One or All-in-Two diaper system
2. Exclusive Cloth Diaper/Cover system
3. Combination of #1 and #2

Newborn:

#1 system: Exclusive All-in-One/All-in-Two:
• Washing once a week: 70-84 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 30-36 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 10-12 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size

#2 system: Cloth Diaper/Cover:
• Washing once a week: 14-28 diaper covers in each size, 70-84 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 6-12 diaper covers in each size, 30-36 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 2-4 diaper covers in each size, 10-12 cloth diapers in each size

Three months - 12 months:

• Washing once a week: 42-56 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 18-24 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 6-8 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size

#2 system: Cloth Diaper/Cover:
• Washing once a week: 7-21 diaper covers in each size, 42-56 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 3-9 diaper covers in each size, 18-24 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 1-3 diaper covers in each size, 6-8 cloth diapers in each size

12 months - Potty Training:

#1 system: Exclusive All-in-One/All-in-Two:
• Washing once a week: 28-35 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 12-15 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 4-6 All-in-One or All-in-Two diapers in each size

#2 system: Cloth Diaper/Cover:
• Washing once a week: 7-14 diaper covers in each size, 28-35 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every three days: 3-6 diaper covers in each size, 12-15 cloth diapers in each size
• Washing every day: 1-2 diaper covers in each size, 4-6 cloth diapers in each size
