Diaper Buddies can be used to deodorize your diaper pail, and they can be used as laundry boosters. One Diaper Buddy is enough for a regular pail, but you may need two for a large pail.
When you are ready to wash, just dump the Diaper Buddies into the machine along with the clothes and it will act as a laundry booster. Laundry detergent should still be used but other additives are not necessary. These come to you shrink-wrapped in groups of six inside a resealable bag for maximum freshness.
Just add a Diaper Buddy to your clean pail before you put the dirty diapers in. The ball will act to absorb odors and add a fresh scent to your pail.
When it is time to wash your diapers, you throw it into the washing machine with your diapers and it works as a laundry booster for cleaner diapers.
Diaper Buddies are convenient deodorizers designed especially for use with cloth diapers. Diaper Buddies are made mostly of baking soda, saponified vegetable oils, essential oils (for scents), and sometimes contain fragrance oils.
Scents: Tea Tree Citrus, Apple Jack and Peal, Grapefruit Jasmine
Frugal Baby Tips:
Thanks to Mary for this Frugal Baby Tip!
Baking soda at the bottom of the diaper pail, and a sprinkle now and then (over the diapers) in between washings helps keep odours down.

I use a kitchen garbage pail for my main pail that I love. It's by Tucker and it has a pop-top lid and a slot for a charcoal filter. But upstairs I just have a regular Rubbermaid kitchen container with no DeoDisk, and I have no odor problems really.
Thanks to Rachel for this FrugalBaby Tip!
I don't use a DeoDisk, and I have no odor problems. If you have a tight-fitting lid, you shouldn't. I sometimes put a splash of vinegar in the bottom of the pail, but that's it. I use a Sterilite container with Snap-Tite lid for wets and a Diaper Champ for poopies. Works for us!
Thanks to Dawna for this Frugal Baby Tip!
You wanna know what I did for odor control??? I got a little 1 1/2 cup sterilite container from Dollar General and poked holes in the cover, then I filled it with baking soda.
I put that in the bottom of the diaper pail and it does GREAT! I saw the charcoal and I didn't know if it would work. Tell me how it does!
