Wool Baby Soakers |
High quality, soft durable Ultra-Mate® Velcro®, positioned to avoid or minimize any possible irritation that could occur. Wide enough for infinite adjustments!
AJ'z WWS fit well enough that they can be used with prefolds, without needing to use pins. A great way to have the benefits of wool, without the bother of pins! Double-layered through the wet-zone
for maximum leakage protection!
WHY WOOL??? Wool Soakers are one of the best things you can use as a water resistant cover for over your cloth diapers. Wool is very absorbent, and can hold up to 30% of its weight in liquid before it feels damp. Wool is breathable, helps prevent diaper rash. Wool is cool in summer and warm in winter. The ultimate in luxury for your babies tender bum!
AJ'z WWS are made with quite a bit of stretch, so you should be able to miss a size or two. Measure your child's waist and crotch depth (front waist through crotch to back waist) with diaper on. These do stretch a lot, so the sizes are approximate.
Disana Organic Merino Wool Cover |

Disana Nappy Covers are brilliant, and a particularly good starting cover for those trying out wool covers for the first time. They're made from beautifully soft organic merino wool which is breathable (helps to prevent nappy rash) naturally anti-bacterial and self cleaning (just air between uses). Once it's been treated with lanolin, it is extremely leakproof - making it the perfect soaker for nighttimes and naps. The high waistband keeps wee tummies and backs warm, and snug leg cuffs provide good leak protection.
It is suggested you size up by 3 months to allow for shrinkage. It should be treated with lanolin 2-3 times before the first use and re-lanolised every 3-6 weeks or so to maintain the waterproofing. These covers will shrink and felt a little with washing (which improves their functionality), so we also suggest you size up to allow for this.
How to Lanolise Nappy Covers: You should start with a small bowl of very hot water and add around 3 generous tablespoons of liquid lanolin or a teaspoon of solid lanolin and stir to dissolve. Once it's dissolved, add this solution to a bowl of lukewarm water (just enough to cover your woollens) and add the nappy wraps. Swirl around a bit and leave to soak for 5-10 minutes. Squeeze out excess water (rolling in a dry towel can help), reshape and dry flat.
